My name is Dani Rogers, I graduated from Perpich Center for Arts Education located in Golden Valley, Minnesota in 2018. I began my artist journey in documentary styled photography. As I grew older, I realized sometimes you can't always find the story, so you must create your own. I started to focus on myself, and the world we live in. As an artist in today's culture, I create use art as an escape to visually express emotions caused by the corrupt the society we live in.

I have been studying media arts, taking classes in analog photography, digital photography, animation, graphic design, cinema, and much more.  My passion lies in conceptual and portrait photography, but I've also created a wide variety of short films.

Within my conceptual work, I explore the idea of identity. Who are we? How well does the world know us, and how well do we really know ourselves? In my portrait photography, I focus on environmental portraiture. I explore the balance between the subject and the world around them.

My strongest works, the works I most connect to, have been in collaboration with poets. Poetry is a huge inspiration in my life. Ever since I was a young kid, writing poetry let me escape, and as I've grown up I've had the privilege of finding a new medium to give me the same feeling.  Every artist has asked themselves, “why do I create art?” I’m still trying to figure this answer out, but as I grow as an artist and as a person I get closer and closer to my answer. I create art to express my thoughts and emotions. I struggle with articulating my emotions through voice, but creating art lets me express what I’m feeling in a visual way.

I plan to continue my artistic passion and further develop my technical and creative skills. I will never stop creating, and I will never stop creating a social disruption.
